Compiler Error "Unbalanced Marked Content Operators"

Post by danlybarger »

I am trying to compile a .pdf for a large project that I've been working on in Flare.

Every time I try to make a build. I receive an "Unbalanced marked content operators" error, and then the system aborts building a .pdf.

Please let me know how to resolve this.
Thanks.

When it's building the output, you should be able to see the files it's working on as it's building the output. Is the error occurring every time while working on a specific topic? If so, try opening the topic and see if Flare throws up a message error at that point that will hopefully give you an idea of where to look for the problem.

As a quick test, condition out the topic that appears to be throwing the error and rebuild. If it gets past that topic, then you know the topic really was the problem.

Oh, and welcome to the forums.

Following your advice, I temporarily removed some of the chapters from the table of contents.

My supervisors asked me to rename one of the chapters. Even though the project wasn't compiling, I decided to rename the chaper anyway because it would be helpful to have it named properly once the system was cooperating again.

The error stopped, and Flare created the .pdf. I'm not sure if this is correlation or causation, but it's great to be back to work. 8)

I appreciate the advice, Lisa. I'm not sure where the glitch was, but getting the thing to work again is a relief.
