Index keywords divided into multiple <MadCap:keyword> tags
Index keywords divided into multiple <MadCap:keyword> tags
After import from RoboHelp, most of the topics have the keywords split up into multiple <MadCap:keyword> tags. Is there any way to combine all of a topic's keywords into a single tag, without doing it manually? Thanks!

You might be able to search in the code for the bit of code that separates one keyword from another (from the closing quotation mark of one to the opening quotation mark of the next) and replace it with a semicolon, but you need to do this very carefully. Make a backup of the whole project before you attempt!

Thanks Nita. However, those split-up lists of keywords are not usually consecutive. They're spread out in seemingly random places in the help topics.

I wouldn't expect the position to be random, I would've thought it'll come from where the index entries were inserted in the original RoboHelp project.
Index keywords work like bookmarks, so I'd expect them to be located in the appropriate position in the topic where the keyword is mentioned.

Hi, in RoboHelp they're not inserted in any particular position; they're just associated with the topic. But regardless -- what I am looking for is a Flare function or script or something that would allow me to combine all of the keywords into one tag. Thanks.
