Hi,
I've got the following scenario:
Topic
TEXT TEXT TEXT
Drop-down element
Drop-down element (NOT tagged as this is for web output ONLY)
TABLE DISPLAYED AS IS FOR WEB OUTPUT
Drop-down element (conditionally tagged for mobile output)
DROP-DOWN ELEMENT TABLE ELEMENTS REPURPOSED AS DROP-DOWN (BY ROW) for better readability on a mobile device (as the table would scroll across the mobile device and a drop-down is easier to read)
Yet, when I preview or generate, the elements tagged for mobile output are showing the heading text and when I expand the heading element the drop-down text tagged as mobile only shows nothing. I tried the same with expanding text and nothing is showing up.
Is there a limit to how many drop-downs I can embed? Meaning, Can I only embed a single level drop-down in a topic or can I embed multiple levels of drop-downs?
On a related note, is there a better way of displaying tabular information on a mobile device? The tabular information I'm showing is field definitions for the screen.
Any help would be most appreciated.
thank you in advance.

Re: Is there a limit to how many drop-downs I can embed?
I don't do mobile help, just WebHelp and HTML. I've got four nested levels in some places with no problems. So in principle, nested drop-downs work OK.
