After a couple of hours compiling and reporting :
Saving word output...
Embedding images into document. This may take several minutes.
I finally got:
Generation of output can not be completed. Call was rejected by callee. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80010001 (RPC_E_CALL_REJECTED))
Aborted.
Can anyone offer any suggestions about how to get around this, or what might be causing a problem at this late stage in building a target?

Hi Alison,
Have you ever built this Word output successfully? If so, what has changed?
If not, here are a few things you could try.
Firstly the old favourite of closing Flare, deleting /Analyzer, /Output, (and /Filesync, /SourceControl if you have them), then reopening Flare and trying again.
Secondly, assuming it could be just one thing in your content that is throwing Flare, take a copy of your project, delete half your topics, and see if the problem goes away. If it does, look at the other half and see if the problem occurs in that part. If the problem doesn't go away in the half you try, it's worth checking the other half too, as you may find the problem is there as well, and that could also be useful information to help track down what is causing it (another project file, perhaps a page layout, stylesheet etc). And of course, you may find the problem in neither half, in which case it could be something to do with the size of project.
But if you do find a problem in only one half, you could then split that in half again, and see which half contains the problem. If you continue like this, you could narrow it down to a problem topic, and perhaps even a paragraph in a topic.
Also, you are aware that there are several features that Flare doesn't support in Word output? Could you be using one of those, and Flare isn't happy? I recently discovered Word output doesn't support some of the auto-number formats, and I seem to remember reading that divs aren't supported either, although I may have dreamed that.

If the PDF output is good, many members have suggested using the PDF to generate a Word output with Acrobat. There are also several online (free) converters to try.
Word output has been a point of contention for many of us, and you can spend hours trying to get a good result.
