Long headings breaking badly in PDF TOC

Post by lisadames »

I'm creating a PDF with Flare 10. I have a couple of chapter titles that are long, so they require two lines in the TOC. The lines are breaking very strangely in the TOC. The chapter number appears below the word Chapter, and the chapter title is on a line at a height between the word Chapter and the chapter number.

For example, this is one of my chapters:

Chapter 6: Configuring HCP S10 Node monitoring with Hi-Track Monitor

In the TOC, the heading comes out sort of like this:

Code: Select all

Chapter
Configuring HCP S10 Node monitoring with Hi-Track Monitor ....
5 43
The word Chapter and the 5 are actually on sequential lines, and the chapter title is not on any actual line.

When the heading is even longer (I did a test), the chapter number still appears below the word Chapter, but the title starts on the same line as the word Chapter and finishes on the line after the chapter number.

All other headings that require two lines in the TOC come out correctly.

Has anyone ever seen anything like this, and does anyone have any idea how to fix it?

Thanks.

Found the answer. Add "white-space: normal" to the applicable TOC class in the css.
