Multiple "See" references for single term

I defined two "See" references for a single index term. When I build the PDF, the index contains only the alphabetically first reference. For example, the term "cables" has a "See" reference for "power cables" and a "See" reference for "Ethernet cables". The index in the PDF contains only "cables See Ethernet cables". Does anyone know of a way to get both references to appear? I tried putting them in the same link entry separated by a semicolon, but when I do that, "cables" doesn't appear in the index at all.

This has now been submitted to Madcap as an enhancement request. Apparently, it's working as designed.
