Multiple page layouts in a single topic?

Hello all,

I don't think this is possible but I'll ask...

Each of my topics includes a first page which is unique compared to the following pages in same topic. But I just made some changes to my primary page layout that I do not want showing on this unique first page.

To that end, I would like to change the page layout of only the first page of every chapter (or topic). Unfortunately, it seems that Flare only allows setting the page-layout on a per topic basis. If that is the case, I will have to make individual first page topics for each chapter.

Any thoughts?

That means that I cannot do what I planned.... hmm... wait a sec., perhaps I didn't think this out.

I can use a single page layout. Page layouts allow for multiple pages (i.e. left, right, normal, etc.).

Updated question:

If I have multiple pages in a single page layout, how do I assign these page layout pages to individual pages in a topic? Obviously, I am referring to PDF output only.

Again, I think I know the answer... From the TOC, I am only allowed to set a single (or alternating L/R) page from a single page layout. I really didn't want to start the new year off with an annoyance!

I use this for the first page of chapters.
In your page layout, create a page that is designated First.
In your TOC, select Break Type as Chapter Break and then select Page Type as First.
The First page layout will apply to the first page and then the remaining pages will automatically use the L/R page layouts (or Normal or whatever it's called when you're not using L/R). This continues until your next designated Chapter Break (or Page Layout break).

I forgot about that page type. Had I only reviewed the types available when I wrote, "for multiple pages (i.e. left, right, normal, etc.)." I would have solved this earlier.
