After a long time I got an opportunity to use Mimic again. I build HTML5/WebM output and was flabbergasted by how excruciatingly long the build process is...and I do have a fast system with lots of RAM, SSD, six cores, etc. Sadly, when building help output that includes the Mimic movie the movie is rebuilt each time although there were zero changes. The movie had about 20 something frames and nothing special in regards to callouts and transitions (I only needed a movie for a conceptual demo)
Is there a trick to speed up build times and marking the movie as 'done' so that it does not get recompiled during each help build?

Re: Long build times
I would use conditional text to remove your link to the movie for the build. Then just edit the link back in manually and put the video where it goes after the build.
