Hi,
I want to insert breadcrumbs. I found it under 'insert/proxy/breadcrumbs proxy' but than I have to do it topic by topic.
I want to do this for all topics with one manipulation. Is that possible and how?
By project/project properties I use the default page layout.
Other information about the project. The topics are framemakerfiles who are imported in Flare.

Re: breadcrumbs
Hanne, is this for an online output or printed output? Breadcrumbs are not supported in printed output, they are a feature for online output only.
For online output, you can put the breadcrumbs proxy on the master page to make it appear in all your topics.

Re: breadcrumbs
Hi,
It's for online output.
How do I place it on the masterpage?
Thanks!

Re: breadcrumbs
Open your master page for editing and add a proxy.
You can find it in the help here:

Re: breadcrumbs
That's my problem. When I look in the help they say: 'go to the masterpage/insert/proxy/insert breadcrumbs'
But I can't select that option...

Re: breadcrumbs
That looks like a Page Layout, not a Master Page - the two are different. Usually Page Layouts are for printed output and master pages for online.
Master pages are usually stored in the Resources folder like the Page Layouts.
Right-click on "Resources" and add a Master page, and the folder should be created.
You should then be able to insert a Breadcrumbs proxy.

Re: breadcrumbs
ok, thanks so far so good.
I have create a masterpage with a breadcrumbs.
How do I connect the masterpage to the topics that already exist?
Under Project properties/pagelayout he don't recognize the extension (.flmsp) of the masterpage.

Re: breadcrumbs
You'll find the setting in the Advanced tab of the properties of your online target.

Re: breadcrumbs
Ok thank you. Every step that I do gives another problem.
When I set in the properties of the target in the advanced tab on the masterpage I create (see image 1), I get a bread crumble above (see image 2) but all my text is gone. He gives a warning of bookmarks that are not possible.

Re: breadcrumbs
I found the solution for my missing text.
But something else got my attention. The breadcrumbs are visible on pages where the headings have autonumbering. Pages with headings who don't have an autonumbering, have no breadcrumbs.
Is that normal?
Sorry for the many questions!
Thanks!
