Flare to Confluence

Post by Greg »

I have a bank of Q&A topics in Flare that need to be moved into Confluence.

Ideally, I would like to keep on maintaining the bank in Flare and move over the updated content when needed. Is that possible?

What is the easiest, cleanest way of moving the content whether I maintain the info in Flare or Confluence?

Thanks,

Greg

Confluence uses some different methods to control its content. The markup is different. I do not even think an XSLT would work. It would seem export/import could work if there is a tool to do so...However, copy paste/format might be the only resolve.

Previous discussions have recommended outputting to Word and then using the Word import functions in Confluence. I would like a solution to this as well.

Thanks for your answers but we've decided to go in another direction.

@Greg, do you mind sharing what direction you ended up going in?

The Confluence idea was scrapped and we kept everything in Flare, using HTML5 as the output. This met the two main requirements of having it available to anyone with access to the network and secondly, it is searchable, meaning it returns only topics with the searched criteria.
