White Space either side of header decoration when printing

Hey all,

I'm hoping someone will be able to help.

I have a decoration frame spanning the full-width of a page layout. When I generate the PDF, the header looks great, full-width. However, when I choose to print the PDF, there are very small white spaces either side of the header (decoration frame). I'm sure there is some trick to fix this. And I've tried various printer settings, like "Fit to page", "Shrink to fit" both toggled on and off.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi Matt, it depends on your printer, whether you can print to the edge or not. Some printers will do that, some not. In general the printer uses a small strip on the edges to feed/move the paper.

Thanks Lydia, I had suspected it was something to do with the bleed, as I had been playing around with the bleed settings in the Page Layout.

Is there a setting in Flare to avoid the white space around the decoration frame?

Hi Deepti,
no, this is not a setting in Flare. Like I mentioned in my earlier post, this is something the printer does. So, even if you have the frame set to go til the edge, the printer may decide to put a small space on the sides where nothing will be printed.
