When I add a PDF to the root level of the TOC is there a way to add the PDF icon so that the user knows it's a PDF.
I know Adobe has all kinds of icons. I also know that I can pick an icon in the TOC topic properties.
What I don't know is how to get a PDF icon into this list so that I can choose it for the TOC. Any ideas?

Re: PDF Stitch Icon
The iconcs you are looking at are for HTML help, or CHMs. If you want to change the icons for web-based or HTML5 help, you need to update the skin.
There is a thread from a few years back that might help - see:

and there is some information in the help file - you might start with this and browse around:

Thank you! I was able to figure this out:
You have to create a TOC entry class for PDFs in the skin. Find the PDF icons you want to use and select them in the four dropdown lists: Then, in the Properties of the individual TOC entry you want to display the PDF icon, select the style class you created in the skin here: Tip: You can use this for topics as well as PDFs.

Re: PDF Stitch Icon
Jess, do you know if I would need to add this TOC style class for all of my skins for it to be an option to select for any TOC in any web-based output? I have several different web outputs that use different TOCs so I have a different skin for each of these targets. I'm also not sure if I could add it once to the default skin.Jess77 wrote:Thank you! Also, if it's a PDF topic I think I can leave the closed/open books as default but just change the topic icon, or do I need to change all to be the PDF icon for it to work?
Thanks!
