Hi,
We have just upgraded to Flare 11 with maintenance plan.
What do I do with the maintenance keys? Do I need to register them somewhere to get notifications of future releases?
Not really sure what the process is.
Thanks
Chris
Registering Maintenance Plan
Re: Registering Maintenance Plan
You use the maintenance key when you put in a support request.
Flare itself will notify you about updates to the current version (i.e. v11). As long as you have a valid maintenance plan, MadCap email you when there's a new version (usually once a year).

Re: Registering Maintenance Plan
Just make sure that the correct person in your organization is the one getting the update emails. In a large company I used to work for, the purchasing department was the group who put the order in, and so they were the ones who got emails when new versions were released. I contacted MadCap support and asked them to change the contact person on the account to somebody on the tech pubs team so that we were the ones notified when new versions were released.
As for the keys, you can print them so you have a copy, or you can just keep them in your email (that is what I do), and then when I need one, I can just search my email and copy and paste the key.
