Re: PageBreak to empty page
Hi Philip,
I did see a problem with unexpected empty pages in my PDF output. In my case it was confirmed to be a bug and I implemented a workaround, which is in place since then. There was no bug fix notice, so I consider the behaviour hasn't changed.
So in my specific case the problem was "caused" by page layout breaks. I had to use different layouts for 1-column/2-column layouts. When the page layout break (set on the topic in the TOC) is in, somewhere later in the PDF the extra empty page appears. I know this sounds vague and it is. I couldn't figure out more detail. Not by myself and neither from MadCap support or development. The workaround is: do not use the page layout break. So, if you can reproduce it - I would send it to support, I think.

Re: PageBreak to empty page
Hi Philip,
that is a different situation then. My TOCs that don't have page layout breaks produce the output just fine without the additional empty pages.
I trust it you have been going through your formatting and checking the size of body frames and excluded those as causing the page breaks.
Maybe someone else has run into this and give some hints.

Re: PageBreak to empty page
This is a stupid question, but there aren't any blank paragraph tags at the end of your topics? That can happen.
Also, you might want to check that Flare isn't adding blank pages deliberately so that new chapters start on the right page.
It's probably not either of these things, but just to rule out some possibilities.
