Dear madcaps,
How can I enable discussions about my documentation, without Pulse? Has anyone found a neat way to do this?
I am looking for a way to allow discussion on some of my topics. This is because I am often using Flare to produce project documentation and to publish proposed and agreed business rules. It works very well except I don't have the ability to allow comments and discussion which would be helpful when discussion potential business rules and processes. I am a freelance Business Analyst and have purchased Madcap as part of my own tool-kit, this means that I can leave the client a set of documentation in a maintainable format; they may purchase Flare etc. but if they don't they can still use the output and could edit if they wanted. I cannot afford Pulse, indeed it would be silly for me to do so as it should be purchased by the client and I do recommend it to my clients if they are considering purchasing Madcap.
Perhaps there's a neat solution to link to something?
Thank you
liz

You could embed Disqus in the desired places, see https://help.disqus.com/customer/portal ... embed-code . Disqus is used by plenty of commercial sites, so I would consider it one of the better options. You may want to check what the implications of Disqus are. It is 'free to use', but nothing in life is free except for my advice on these forums.

For print output, I use Google Drive. For web-based output, I use my personal web site (while I wait for Tech Support to provide an in-house site).

Jumping on years later, but did you find a solution that worked for you? We're trying to figure this all out as our next step for improving documentation.
