Move MadCap data to a second hard drive
I now have two hard drives in my desktop machine. What is the best way to keep the MadCap applications on Drive One, but move the MadCap data to Drive Two?

Do you use source control? If not, move the entire project folder with all contents to the other drive to a new folder in the root with ideally a short name (helps with the moronic Windows (DOS) limitation of 255 characters for path and file names). Then open the project from the new location. There is a feature to clear the old project entries from Flare, but I do not recall exactly how that worked.
If you use source control check everything in, then change the folder that is registered as local folder in source control to the folder on the new drive. As to how that is done differs depending on which source control you use.

No, I do not use source control. When I move project folders, should I use Flare's built in Zipping function, or should I use Windows Explorer? The forums nearly always recommend working within Flare to main the integrity of the links.

Last time I moved a project I just moved it in File Explorer. The links issue comes into play when you reference outside content within the project using logical paths.
Instead of moving you can do a copy first and then open from the new location and do a test build. That should bring up any issues. Once all is fine delete the old project location.
Or use the ZIP feature, will do the same trick in the end.
