Binding Flare to Bitbucket

Post by FlareConvert »

Hi,

I'm looking for any 3rd party plug-ins that enable you to bind Flare11 to Bitbucket (that's the source control my company is already using). Can't find much on this topic after searching extensively through forums. I know Flare11 doesn't have built-in Bitbucket integration.

Thanks!

Your best bet is to find a plugin for Bitbucket that makes it compliant with the MSSCC protocol, means make it look like TFS to outside clients. I did a quick search and came up empty. You can always use any other client for Bitbucket, the difference is that there is no integration with Flare.

Have either of you successfully incorporated BitBucket? My company's dev team is moving to BitBucket and we've been requested to do the same, but it looks like BitBucket isn't supported by Flare.

There is not third party required. I am using BitBucket.

In Bitbucket, from Repository menu, select the desired repository. You should see "You have an empty repository". In the "My code is ready to be pushed" section copy the string "http://<username>@bitbucket...".

In Flare - Project Properties - Bind Project paste the copied string. Click Ok and follow prompts.

I agree with lguser's directions. I'm using BitBucket Git repos for several of my and my clients' Flare projects. You must set up the repository (one repo for each Flare project) first in BitBucket, then copy the URL to that repository. In Flare, when you go to bind the project, you have to supply that URL, as well as your BitBucket credentials. It's all straightforward.
