Table Style - Autonumber

Post by cliffsimms »

I am creating auto number for Note in the table style sheet. I selected TD and made a added class with the name TableNote. I can add the auto number which works just fine. What I want is to have the text that is wrapping to be indented and aligned with the first sentence. I was able to complete this task for the P.Note style in the Basic Style sheet, although in the Table Style sheet, it appears I do not have a paragraph option to set the indents.

Have you tried td.tablenote in the main CSS to set the margins?

I actually figured it out, you go to the advance view in the CSS and open the td that you want to edit, go to MC-Multi-Line Indent and set the indent there. Although now that it works I have a whole new question.

Ok so now I can get my style to act correctly, I create a table write my sentence and apply the style I created td.tablenote, it places the word Note: bold as I wish and indents correctly. Although when I go to the end of the sentence and push Enter to go to the next line to continue with the step action, it leaves Note on its own line and creates a P tag for the sentence that belongs with the Note (td.tablenote). it then changes my available styles from table styles to the basic CSS styles not including the table styles.
Why does this happen?

Because if you press Return in a table cell, it automatically puts what you typed inside a <p> and creates a new <p> for you to type in.

So you might want to make a style called p.TableNote with the same attribute as your td.TableNote.
