Glossary Term Footnotes

Post by chrisj »

Version: 11
Output: PDF

I am trying to generate marked Glossary Terms as text rather than footnotes. All of my terms are marked popup in both the editor and the css (for good measure). In the Target Advanced tab, the Expanding/Popup Effects options seem to have no impact on glossary terms. I am hoping I am just missing something, as it would be really nice if I could just get these terms to convert to text in a PDF.

I would like this as well.

In addition, I another issue with glossary terms in PDF and Word outputs. When I select "Convert first occurrence of term" in the "Glossary Term Conversion" section in Target files it works great in HTML5 but it’s horrible in Word. For example, I have one project with 16 glossary terms that turns into over 120 footnotes in Word when I select this option. So, I have this option enabled in HTML5 but disabled in in all prints outputs.

What I would like to see for print outputs is a "Convert first occurrence of term in project" option. (I submitted a feature request last month.) In my example this would produce 16 footnotes for those 16 glossary terms.
