Top Nav Footer Background

I found the top nav template to be a little confusing. In the MadCap Top Nav Sample Project the color of the background in the header can be changed in the HTML5 - Top Navigation Skin. However the footer on the main page cannot. Opening the Home Page (Page Layout) I see no background color (the gray that the template uses). I checked style sheets and don't see it there. I may have missed it but how to you change this background?
