scrunched UI
Hi, we have a new writer on the team who is currently using the trial version of Flare 11. She's seeing a very scrunched UI in Flare. The XML Editor and dialog boxes accessed in Flare have tiny line heights. Underline looks like strike-through. We've looked at font scaling and other settings to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks!

Re: scrunched UI
This is generally caused by resolution being too high or low.
Without knowing what kind of system is being used, it's really hard to nail down the specific cause.
Often times with the newer super high resolution laptops, this can happen. Adjusting the resolution down should fix it.

Re: scrunched UI
Hi Rob,
The screen resolution is 1920x1080, just like my screen. We have the same size screens, but the issue does not appear on my screen. We tried lowering her screen's resolution to 1600x900 and to 1280x720, but neither setting improved the scrunched-ness of the UI.
Screenshot of scrunched UI: Thanks for any help you can provide.

Re: scrunched UI
Try checking the Windows display setting - often if it is something other than 100% the UI is squashed.

Re: scrunched UI
Hi wclass, can you tell me where the Windows display setting is? I don't see a percentage setting at Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display\Screen Resolution. Thanks!

Re: scrunched UI
I right-click somewhere on the desktop and pick "Screen resolution". There is an option there to make text and other items larger or smaller. Click that and you'll see the option buttons for smaller, medium, larger, etc.

Re: scrunched UI
Thanks, Margaret! Found it. The % display setting was the issue
For anyone else looking:
Go to: Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display
Then click: "Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays" (if multiple monitors)
Select "Smaller - 100% (default)"
