I'm not sure whether I should be positing here or in the Web-based Outputs forum. The output is HTML5.
I'm having a problem with the dropdowns and expanding text in my HTML5 output. It looks ok at first:
(I added the spaces so that you can see the symbol that is being superimposed on the text in the image below.)
But when I point to it, it looks like this:
The links work as intended, but they look crazy when you point to them.
They look fine in my CHM target, but that uses a different stylesheet etc.
I don't even know where to start looking for the problem. Can someone help?

Re: Hovering over expanding or drop-down hotspots
Just a wild guess, but check out the a:hover style to make sure you don't have "repeat" (or whatever it is) set on the associated image. I could be wrong on where this repeat thing is, but I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly to give you more explicit info, but it'd be a place to start looking.

Re: Hovering over expanding or drop-down hotspots
Thank you. But the hover style looks fine.
Forgot to mention another problem: Popups links are not causing making the topic pop up but are acting just like regular links.
What the heck is going on here?

Re: Hovering over expanding or drop-down hotspots
Just an outside possibility, but have you been editing your stylesheet as a text file? I've found things have gone skewiff on me for every style below the error, and the error is usually just something as pathetic as a missing semi-colon. (It may well be something else, but worth taking a look.) When looking at it in Notepad++ the font used for the attributes looks very slightly different to normal, which is how I finally managed to track down my error.
Someone else will be along shortly to make some other suggestions, I'm sure.

Re: Hovering over expanding or drop-down hotspots
Thank you for the suggestion. The stylesheet looked fine.
Except apparently the stylesheet and/or skin were missing some details. I ended up creating a test project based on HTML5. Then I copied over some stuff from the stylesheet and the skin from that project into my real project.
I never got popups to work at all in the HTML5 output, so I simply stopped using them. No more time for troubleshooting.
