I have a file that is output to HTML5 and CHM that utilizes dropdowns. Some of its links go to content found within a dropdown. Does anybody know if there's a way to force these dropdowns to automatically open when such a link is clicked? So, in addition to the reader being taken to the page (or a different location on the same page), the dropdown would open automatically.
Interestingly, this seems to happen by default in HTML5 output when the link goes to a different page, but not when the link goes to somewhere on the same page. It never seems to happen in CHM.
Open hotspot/dropdown automatically
Re: Open hotspot/dropdown automatically
I'm not aware of an option to automatically display expanded drop-down content in an HTML5 target. That would be a nice feature.
But I do know that in the skin editor on the Toolbar tab, you can select ExpandAll and the an Expand All button will display on the toolbar in the Help. If a user clicks the Expand All button, all of the drop-down content will display.
Hope that helps.
