Hello,
I'm hoping someone can assist with this baffling problem I'm experiencing. I am generating a PDF target and the generated file includes Page Layouts that are NOT associated with the TOC. Each Topic is set to the medium of Print. The topics in the TOC are all set as Break Type None. The Page layout shows as default but is greyed out. There is no default Page Layout for this Project that I can see. I've attached a screenshot so if anyone sees something I don't.
How do I prevent a page layout that is not associated with a TOC from printing?

Having the page layout be set to "default" in the target is not the same thing as having it set to "none". It means that the page layout is being inherited from wherever a master page layout is being set. You say that there is no master page layout at the project level, but do you have one set at the target level? If yes, that's what controlling the page layout of TOC items set to use the "default" page layout. Otherwise, if the target is also set to default, and there's no page layout set at the project level, that suggests to me that the inheritance is coming from Flare directly, deep in the bowels of Flare. One cannot generate a print output without there being a page layout somewhere.

The Target Master page layout is also set to default. However, when I look at the Master Page Folder, there are no page layouts. I checked the Project that also points to the default master page layout. So what are my options to correct this? Should I create a master page layout named default? Or should I just create alternate page layouts to associate that are essentially blank pages for when I need no logos?

Yes, you should create your own page layout with the pages the way you want them, and then associate that page layout as the "master" page layout in either the project or the target. You do not need to name it "default". You can name it however you like.phebert wrote:Should I create a master page layout named default?
