Hi,
Do I have any chance to automatically expand the drop-down texts or toggler driven texts in a page while others remain collapse?
How to automatically expand drop-down text or toggler?

I think (because I haven't thoroughly tested my theory) it depends on your output type. For WebHelp, each drop-down has an id, so you should be able to use a javascript with an onload command. I don't see any id in the HTML5 output, which you need in order to tell the browser which to open.
Just my opinion, but having drop-down text default to open defeats the purpose of putting it in. Or am I unaware of its benefits?

I have the opposite problem. I have drop-down text that opens expanded and I want it to open as collapsed...because that is the point of using drop-down text. Is there a way to fix that?
Never mind. It only happens when I click View Primary on the Project ribbon. It doesn't happen when I run the help from the default.htm file. Non-issue.

Re: How to automatically expand drop-down text or toggler?
I am trying to figure out how to keep drop-downs from automatically opening due to the search words entered to find the article. In my output, if I enter search text and then find the article, each drop-down that contains the search text open automatically.
I want them to remain closed.
Does anyone know how to set this, if it is even possible?

Just curious, why would you not want the dropdowns to open? Wouldn't the user want to see the search text highlighted in the topic, especially if it's something specific? If the search text appears in a dropdown and nowhere else in the topic, not having the dropdown open could be confusing.dinnes wrote:I am trying to figure out how to keep drop-downs from automatically opening due to the search words entered to find the article. Typically, the search word will appear in many places in the article, causing almost all of the drop-downs to open and the article becomes long and difficult to find the needed section.
