I have been asked by a developer if there is a HTTPS version of our output available, as their calling application expects it.
Has anyone handled this sort of request - I'd appreciate it if someone could point me to where I could read up on this. I can see no setting in Flare, unless that is something that Webhelp plus generates.
We create HTML 5 web help.
We are a large site and different developers in different regions set up the numerous applications and websites we manage - there is no single developer I can go back to and ask this question, and I'd like to understand this myself.
thanks.

Is HTTPS available?

Re: Is HTTPS available?
Hi there,
HTTPS is the protocol that is used to connect to the webserver hosting your content, so it is not something that you would specifically configure in Flare. More information is available here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTPS
I can confirm that our HTML5 Flare projects run fine when accessed via HTTPS.

Re: Is HTTPS available?
Thanks for the pointers.
Can you tell me, when you run your Flare projects under HTTPS, how do you access them? A dev team is trying to access the help files from a web app on a different server that is running under HTTPS, and they are having problems with the warnings that are displayed like "Only secure content is displayed". I think they want to avoid those warnings.
Would it be as simple as serving the help from a secure server as well?

Re: Is HTTPS available?
Does the help and all of its contents get served from a server running HTTPS? Are all the links within the help requesting HTTPS? Browsers do not allow pages to contain mixed content. This can occur when the help is coming from an HTTPS server, but an image, CSS, JavaScript, PDF, or else is loaded through a link from an HTTP server. What might be the easiest is to grab the page source of a page that generates that warning and evaluate the links. You can also use the dev tools in a browser to see all the requests that are made, but that depends if the browser blocks the request or the response.
