What types of businesses use Flare?

Post by Lormialor »

Hi.

I'm a new user to Madcap flare, learning this program for a class project and I was wondering, who uses this product? What types of organizations use this program regularly for web design and single source authoring?
How often will I, in the field of technical writing, find opportunities to use Flare or other Madcap products in professional settings.

Hi there,

Here is MapCap's published customer list, which will give you an idea of some of the companies and industries that use Flare:

Hi Paulie,

There are a lot of educational institutions on that list. I work for a software company and produce all our manuals using Flare.

I used to work at a non-profit that provided training and software help for a state wide application used by the department of children and families. I also worked at a branch of a global business creating help for desktop apps used for physical access control (programmable locks). In both places Flare worked out very well for us.
Currently, I use Flare as web page editing tool for USA Borussen, a Borussia Mönchengladbach fan club. Once in a while I use it to demo how help should look like and be structured.
