Wrong Page Layout Applied

I have only two page layout files: CoverPage.flpgl and Normal.flpgl.

On the PDF Target Properties General tab, for Master Page Layout I chose the Normal page layout.
I selected the Normal.flpgl for each topic using the Page Layout dropdown menu in the top bar of the topic XML Editor. I chose the Coverpage layout on the one topic i'm using as my cover page.
On the TOC Properties Printed Output tab, for Page Layout: I chose default.
When I output the PDF Target, All topics have the coverpage.flpgl applied.

What might I have done wrong?

I'm pretty sure that selecting a page layout in the XML Editor only affects the layout while you are editing; the selection there has nothing to do with the page layouts that Flare will use when you build output.

You need to associate the page layouts with items on your TOC. So your cover page TOC item should be associated with the cover page layout. Then the next TOC item down needs to be associated with the normal page layout. Thereafter, I think the remaining TOC items will inherit the normal page layout.

When I have some to share! Sometimes I feel badly that I can't help with every post, but I just don't know everything there is about Flare. I don't think any one person does...
