Inserting a barcode as an image

I am new to MadCap Flare and I am trying to insert a barcode as a .png image. Once I insert the image the barcode is no longer scannable. Can you awesome people point me in the right direction on how to solve this issue. I have the barcode set at 300% so that it scans on the screen and in print. Thank you very much.

Barcodes need to be of exact size and scale. You may want to try setting the width and height explicitly.

Does that need to be done in Illustrator or Photoshop?

That needs to be done in Flare. Flare will then make it so that the image has the exact dimensions as specified.
