I just tried my first-ever export to Word. (Sad, but I need to export to Word so I can conduct reviews in Google docs. ) Everything worked reasonably well except for my cross-reference links, which don't work. The links are simply formatted as blue underline text and are not links.
I've looked through the Word target editor and can't find any options that would seem to solve this problem.
That looks like a bug. I usually use plain hyperlinks and they work fine, so I had not noticed that xrefs don't work in Word.
I tried the same with PDF and the xrefs go through OK (tried several mediums so pretty sure I did not fall for the old "in the wrong medium" trick).
EDIT:
Just tried in one of the sample projects and had the same problem.
I don't like this "design choice" much myself, but:

So I followed the old link mentioned in the slightly earlier post and saw that cross refs only work if you show the page reference as well.
I think this is still a bug because you might not want to include that in the document.
