Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I haven't made any changes to my page layout but the page number variable suddenly no longer displays in the page layout editor or my PDF outputs. But the page number variable does display when I edit the footer:
The biggest problem is that my PDFs now have no page numbers in the footer.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mark

Re: Page numbers have disappeared from PDF ouputs
Did this happen when you upgraded to v11? In the past when you did an upgrade, some Flare styles were renamed. For instance, instead of p.MiniTOC1, it became p.MiniTOC1_0, so if you had defined a style for p.MiniTOC1, it appeared not to work after the upgrade. So if the styles disappeared after the upgrade, you might want to see if you were using Flare styles and if any of them were renamed. If so, then it might be using the default style and maybe the default style is set to use a color that blends into your background or maybe the font size is too big to fit in the container div, etc.
You might be able to see the style names if you open the page layout file in the Internet Text Editor to see if they changed from what you defined in your stylesheet.

Yes, this started happening recently. Perhaps the result of an upgrade.
The style is Madcap:variable. It's mysterious because all of the my other variables that use this style display fine. But I checked and all the settings for this style seem fine. I also checked to make sure there wasn't an inline style that is setting the font color to white. And it isn't. Very mysterious.
Thanks for the ideas, though.
