Possible to automatically format the "Text Editor" view?

I often work with the underlying XML of topics in the Text Editor. However, sometimes the XML there is truncated or poorly formatted in some other way and so hard to work with.

Is there a way of automatically formatting this XML that's I've missed, or is there a way of externally doing it?

By default, the XML should be formatted to a degree. Here's an example:

Are you looking for additional formatting?

If you're not seeing the basic formatting, it's possible it's been toggled off. There's a few buttons in the upper-left corner of the Text Editor that you can use to toggle parts of the formatting on and off. Word wrap is not enabled by default -- if you enable it, that may fix the truncating issue.

Otherwise, it sounds like you're possibly seeing a bigger problem.

I don't have Flare open at the moment, but there is (or used to be) an icon to switch from normal HTML code (as seen in the second of MattyQ's screenshots) and actual XML structure code. It sounds like you're looking for the HTML code. If you're not seeing what MattyQ's screenshot shows, then you probably inadvertently toggled into that XML view.
