Hello!
We use Flare 11 on two identical windows 10 machines. On both machines we observe a significiant delay between typing and appearing of the characters on the screen. In worst case the delay is about 3 seconds. We can type several words without any reaction. Then suddenly all words appear on the screen at the same moment.
We started the windows task manager parallel and could observe that before typing the CPU usage is near to 0. After typing it increases for the delay time up to 50 % (which means that one of the cores is used to 100%). After some seconds the CPU usage decreases to the normal level and then the typed words appear on the screen. So we can assume that there is no other program interfering with Flare.
We looked for similar posts in these forums and found out to check WMIC. The result was .NET Multi Targeting-Pack 4.0.30319. This makes us a little confused because Windows 10 should have .NET Framework 4.5.2 included and it is not possible to install it again.
So please: Do you have any ideas how we can solve this problem?
Thank you very much for each suggestion.
Bettina

Re: Keystrokes in editor appear with large delay on screen
I think this question is probably a good candidate for a bug report to MadCap. I wonder if they can troubleshoot your environment to see what is causing the lag.
Re: Keystrokes in editor appear with large delay on screen
I just went through this with Support. Turn off the Analyzer options in the File > Options dialog. Flare reads every configuration file with each keystroke and mouse click in the XML editor. Apparently this turns it off. Life became sweet again.
