Hello,
I am looking at using a single-source authoring tool in order to control and author using topics and conditional text. However, I want to know if can publish Flare to a website without the assistance of a development team; for example, could my team get setup so that we publish when we want, we push new content when we want, etc, to a website? Thank you.

Yes, Flare can publish direct to a 'destination' website/hosting using FTP or SFTP.
It'll also publish to a folder too - in our company we publish to a network drop folder, which is then automatically deployed to the live site.

Great, thank you Dave. Do you have any advice on learning more how to do the direct to 'destination' website/hosting? Or the folder option you spoke of?

The Flare 12 Help covers publishing to a destination (including a website) here: http://help.madcapsoftware.com/flare12/ ... ations.htm. There's a video there, too, that covers this, although it's a bit "marketing-esque".adrianaharper wrote:Great, thank you Dave. RETIRED, but still fond of all the Flare friends I've made. See you around now and then!

Interesting, you can now publish to a destination in source control in v12. I missed that in the what's new.

Indeed interesting! That cuts out a good number of steps...although I think it leads people to continue with bad behavior, output has no business being in source control...although it does save from spending on a build license. It also appears as that stuff like SharePoint is counted as source control, so in that context it might make sense.Dave Lee wrote:Interesting, you can now publish to a destination in source control in v12. Anyhow, I will give this a try later as I am forced to proceed with bad behavior due to our Frame/WebWorks past....long story.
