I just upgraded from Flare 11 to Flare 12.
What happens is this: My cross-reference links are rendering "&" as "&" in all places that utilize the ampersand. The links work correctly and the topic headings are not affected. Hyperlinks are also not affected, only cross-references. I published both HTML5 and PDF output of the same content and am having the same issue on both targets. It also appears to be doing it in the editor now as well when I drag and drop a topic into the editor.
My XML stylesheet is using mc-format: "{paratext}". I made no changes after upgrading before noticing this issue.
Is anyone else having this problem or know what I can change to fix it? I would really appreciate it.
I have included a screenshot of the editor below.

I haven't seen this myself in Flare 12. This looks like a bug to me and I'd report it right away.

Re: Cross-Reference Links Changing "&" to "&"
Not that it makes the bug go away, but I avoid using "&". It is not that much shorter than "and", but is and always was a source for potential problems.

Fortunately, as a workaround, you can fix it in the text editor. Not that that's okay. The text editor shows "&" . It's just supposed to show "&" .

Re: Cross-Reference Links Changing "&" to "&"
I don't think that this will work for the cross-references. Flare is going to rebuild the text of cross-references when one builds output or when one uses Tools>Update Cross-References in the topic containing the cross-references. So if the original poster edits the text of cross-references, those edits won't "stick".Bfdonnelly wrote:Fortunately, as a workaround, you can fix it in the text editor. Not that that's okay. Re: Cross-Reference Links Changing "&" to "&" [BUG]
Seems {para} was removed as an XREF option, and {paratext} doesn't work correctly... We changed our XREF styles to use {paraxml}, which seems to work for us. When moving from Flare 11 to Flare 12, that is.
