Somewhat off-topic but I am framing this as something that Flare really needs!
I just discovered this remarkable InDesign <> Google Docs collaboration tool called DocsFlow (http://emsoftware.com/products/docsflow/).
This tool facilitates two-way collaboration between Google Docs and InDesign. I use Google Docs for building all my draft documents, that way SMEs can review and edit in real-time, from anywhere and on any computer. Once the draft is complete, I must go through the slow manual effort of copy and pasting the gDOCs content into the appropriate publishing application (mostly InDesign and Flare). It becomes especially tedious when I am updating a document and I need to determine what changed... and worse, when I am unsure which content is newer Flare/InDesign or gDOCs.
Now, I may have solved my problems with InDesign by using DocsFlow. Unfortunately, fixing the InDesign collaboration challenges only represents about 20% of my writing work. A bulk of my effort goes into Flare documentation.
Hope someone finds this useful.
