Translation of hyperlinks

Hello everybody!

I'm new to Lingo and have a problem with translation of hyperlinks:
My German projects links to files located in ..\de\<filename>_d.pdf
my translated projects link to files located in
..\en\<filename>_e.pdf
..\fr\<filename>_f.pdf

So I edited the xlf files for English and French, and everything was fine - until I made a change to the German project: When I made an update in the lingo project, all the manually corrected hyperlinks have gone and the links again point to the German directory.

What can I do to avoid that all links have to be corrected manually after each project update (which should be made each evening)?

Thanks for your suggestions.

Bettina

Bettina,

did you create separate projects for each language?

Hello Bettina,
why do have different names for the files in different languages, in the first place?
If you give them the same name in their respective language-subdirectory, you can translate the .htm files and don't need postprocessing all the links.
And you can compare the subdirectories.

I use this structure:
Content
- de
-- Image_language_dependent
-- Snippets
- en
-- Image_language_dependent
-- Snippets
- es
-- Image_language_dependent
-- Snippets
- fr
-- Image_language_dependent
-- Snippets

This way, all links to topics and snippets work even after translation.
