Hi, we just recently started with Flare 12 and everything seems OK but I must ask you all about startup time?

We have a fairly large project and used Flare 11 up till now where we moved to Flare 12. Just to load the project in Flare 12 takes 3 minutes and 30 seconds if I have Content Explorer open. If I close Content Explorer before I open up the project, the project is loaded within 20 seconds. So this seems like a glitch to me or am I the only one experience this? Flare 11 was not Indy 500 speed but it was faster than this. We are using SVN as Source Control System which seems as a bottleneck but this is just having Content Explorer open or closed while loading the project.

I am using Flare 12 64 bit and Windows 7 64 bit with 8 GB memory and a quite nice Core i5 laptop with SSD.

t90fpe, if you poke around the forum you will note that there are many posts regarding the "underperformance" of V12 in one way or another. In my case, to close - but not open - a project takes extremely long as compared to V11. I suspect and imagine MadCap is aware of the issue(s) and will eventually resolve them. One common theme among the performance issues are that it effects projects bound to source control more so than if unbound. You can easily test your same project in an unbound state and likely verify what I'm indicating.
