HTML5 Search Highlighting Doesn't Work

Post by BrianBXYPRO »

Hi,

No matter what I do I can't get the HTML5 search highlighting to work. I have done the following:
  • In the " HomeSearchBar" and "HTML5 Top Navigation" skins I have confirmed that block has been selected in Styles > SearchBar > Layout.
  • In my "MainStles.css" stylesheet file I have set span > SearchHighlight > background > background-color to yellow.
  • I have enabled partial word searches.
The search works but there is no highlighting of the searched term. I have tested this in Chrome and IE. Any ideas on why it doesn't work?

Thanks,
Brian

It's not you. You have to add the span classes for the search highlighting into your stylesheet. Check out this forum post: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=26637

Nita,

You are awesome! :D That did it. I wonder why MadCap doesn't include them by default. :?
