Anyone have any success getting self-hosted MP4 videos to embed in Flare 12?
I understand how it works for hosted services which is great for some but not gonna work for me. We can not upload to hosted services such as Youtube so please do not refer out to to those instructions.

I'm in the same boat. We can't use servers like YouTube, but using a hyperlink to an MP4 file within the project doesn't seem to include a native player/the necessary encoding to play across browsers. When I insert a video using the HTML5 setting, I don't have responsive design across browsers, even with adjusting the width to 100%. My knowledge is limited about making sure videos play across browsers and devices, responsively. If anyone has advice, I'll take it!

In my stylesheet I have:
Then to insert a mp4 movie in a topic:
1. Insert > Multimedia > HTML5 Movie and select the mp4.
2. On the General tab, I select my Style class video (above).
3. On the Advanced tab, I only have Show Controls selected.
Code: Select all
object.video /* video object inserted as multimedia - set max width as 100% */
{
max-width: 100%;
height: auto;
}1. Insert > Multimedia > HTML5 Movie and select the mp4.
2. On the General tab, I select my Style class video (above).
3. On the Advanced tab, I only have Show Controls selected.
