New HTML5 template?

Post by RichardMPI »

Hi

I would like to know if it is possible to make a template like the one in the picture with this message. The idea is to have a menu on the left, like a tri-pane template, but with some text and format in the commands.

Thanks for your help

It's possible to produce something like that, the question will be how much of that do you want to be generated for you, and how much of this are you prepared to do yourself.

For example:

- The search bar at the top can be included by using the top nav skin, or by including the search bar proxy on your master page.

- The menu on the left could be produced by a menu proxy (like the menu on the right in Flare's help), but it couldn't have descriptive text. Alternatively, you could create the menu by hand in a snippet, which you then insert in your master page.

- For the step 1,2,3 tabs, Flare doesn't have a tab control, so this would probably be set up as links to different topics, unless you implement your own tab control.

Ok, thanks for your answer, Dave!

I think I'll try
  • The search bar from the top nav skin
  • On the left, a menu with snippets in the master page
  • There will be no tab. Instead, simple links to other pages
Thank you for pointing to me a direction, Dave!
