I have always used Adobe Captivate to produce eLearning. However I am now trying out Mimic as I believe this will be better for what I am doing now. I have stumbled across one issue.
In Captivate I always used to fade in call outs and some other objects, always felt it was too crude to have them just appear. I have looked all through the properties and cannot see how to make these objects fade in. Does anyone have any idea how to do this?
I can see how to do it for a frame but not for an object.

Re: Transitions on objects
I'm transitioning from Captivate to Mimic as well. I think. Mimic is lacking some features I've come to rely on in Captivate so I'm not convinced yet that it is going to be my tool of choice.
From what I can tell, you cannot "transition" objects in Mimic, just frames.

Fortunately we are in the evaluation stage and I am trying out a trial. I am finding it is taking me longer to do things but Captivate is significantly higher in price so we will have o evaluate the cost of my time vs. the additional cost of Captivate.JanetAlbers wrote:I'm transitioning from Captivate to Mimic as well. We may decide to simply use the recording feature in SnagIt and just do voice overs and no captions.

Keyframes. Read here...

The example is exactly what I wanted to do. Took me two hours of experimenting before I stumbled across that feature. I'm discovering that 4 times out of 5, the problem isn't that Mimic can't do what I want. It's that it can but I can't find the right controls.
