Stray Arrow character (>) showing up after variables

Hi,
Seems to be a Flare 12 thing (doesn't show up in backups prior to upgrade).
However, I was wondering if anyone has seen this issue where the stray code > is showing up after some variables in webhelp and HTML5 outputs
Seems random, and doesn't always happen for the same variable.
Will probably log as a support issue, but thought I would reach out here first.
