The documents I am working on currently are being translated into Japanese. The Japanese guides are almost 4 versions behind the current document. The current version of the document is 4.6, which is in English and the latest translated Japanese version is on 4.2. Now, the translation team wants me to give them a list of documentation changes from 4.2 to 4.6 so that they can quickly work on translating just the changes.

I do have a document revision history section which lists the updates/new sections for every release but it is brief and wouldn't be very helpful in pointing the translator to some minor changes made in the document.

Can someone help me understand how document versions are managed between Technical Writers and the Translation team?
