I have a Snippet with two conditions.....one for scanning a single image, one for scanning batch images.
I have a topic that will encompass scanning both single and batch images. So, I inserted the snippet and applied the single image Snippet Condition. I also included this and other information in a Toggler.
Below all that (and I've ensured it's not connected in anyway to the other toggler), I inserted the same snippet and applied the batch image Snippet Condition, and included this and other information in a separate Toggler.
So, I have two togglers with the same snippet, but different conditions (one step changes). Everything looks correct in the XML Editor (i.e. the snippets display the appropriate information).
When I preview the primary target, both togglers display, but when I expand the 2nd toggler, the snippet does NOT display. HOWEVER, if I expand BOTH togglers, then both snippets display accurately.
How do I get the 2nd toggler to display on its own?
Thanks!

Question about Snippets, Conditions, and Togglers
Re: Question about Snippets, Conditions, and Togglers
Hi Joanne –
If you have more than one toggler with the same content and view the topic in Preview mode, the preview only displays the content once. For example if you have a snippet with the text “hello world”, name the snippet, insert two togglers and assign each to the named target, once you open one toggler the preview window appears to automatically close the other toggler. In other words the hello world text appears only once.
In any case, just be mindful that conditions in your case can be applied at four different levels and follow an order of precedence. Specifically, the condition you applied at the topic level, followed by the condition you applied at the toggle level, followed by the condition you applied at the snippet level and then followed by the conditions you applied at the text level within the snippet.
Ultimately the end result should work correctly if your conditions are applied correctly and then your preview or target is set to display/output or suppress those conditions.
You may be better off doing an actual build and observing the results as opposed to just a preview.

Re: Question about Snippets, Conditions, and Togglers
Thank you for your reply.
Yes, I generated the topic and it does not display properly. I'm not sure what I have set up incorrectly, but maybe someone can make some sense out of this:
Snippet is called ScanImages. Within the snippet, I have one step that changes:
* tagged as Single Image Condition --- Ensure the correct patient’s name displays within the Patient field.
* tagged as Batch Image Condition --- Use the search button beside the Patient field to select the patient where you want to assign this image/document.
Topic is called Image Navigator with two togglers:
* Scanning Documents into a Specific Patient's Chart
* Scanning Batches of Documents for Many Charts
Under each toggler, I included various text and graphics, with the Snippet inserted at the appropriate point. I right-clicked on each Snippet Block on the left, selected Snippet Conditions, and selected to EXCLUDE the opposite condition.
So, what am I missing?
Thanks again!

Re: Question about Snippets, Conditions, and Togglers
From what you've described, you said the snippets and conditions work ok, but the togglers aren't working as expected.
So, I'd suggest looking at the toggler links, and check that you've selected the correct 'named element' for each toggler; i.e. each toggler link is connected to the 'name' of the content below it (and not linked to the wrong 'name').

Dave, Thank you for your reply.
The togglers are linked correctly because I have non-snippet information in each one, and those display correctly for each toggler.
