Flare 12: Can't check-in subset of changed files

Post by oceanclub »

Have upgraded from 9 to 12 and don't understand the following change. When I select Source Control > Commit All, the dialog box lists all changed files. I'm not sure how I select only some files to check in. To the top-left of the list, there's a checkbox with no label or pop-up description. Turning this on or off doesn't seem to do anything. I tried highlighting in blue only the files I want to check in, but they all get checked in anyway.

You can select individual files on the Commit dialog. In regards to the checkbox without a label (and it should have a popup description), that is select all / deselect all button.

The blue highlight is not used to select - only the checkboxes are used to select.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Your screenshot differs from mine - no individual checkboxes are shown for each file. Turning the only checkbox there on and off has no effect since I guess it is meant to turn on and off my missing checkboxes.

I'm using SVN (Subversion). I'm unsure if that would make a difference to the dialog.

It could be you need to reinstall .NET or reinstall Flare.

Hi, also using Subversion. Will try reinstalls.

There were some users who had experienced problems running Flare 12 in a non-Windows 10 environment (Flare 12 has both 32-bit and 64-bit installs available). I'm certainly not saying that is the cause of any problems, but it is something to be mindful of.

I eventually found a workaround for this; I can't turn on or off the check boxes with the cursor, but I can if I (a) hover the cursor over the checkbox and then (b) press SPACE. Very bizarre behaviour but at least this works.
