Can I turn off the "Open Topic Memory" (auto-topic opening)?

Hey all,

I was wondering if there was a way to turn off/disable Flare's "automatic opening" of all of the topics I had open, the last time I worked on a project. It's a minor issue (that I know I can "just deal with"), but it tends to get a little annoying, sitting and waiting for 30, 40, 50+ topics to re-open, 'cause I left them open last time I worked on the project. Yeah, I know... I'm impatient.

I know I can use the right-click "Close all topics except this one" option, but I tend to forget to do so when I close a project. If there's a "Preferences" setting, or possiblly a .cfg file tweak I can do to turn this feature off, it'd be most appreciated (or maybe request that MadCap just eliminate this feature in a future release! ).

Thanks!

Yes, there is a setting.
Go to File then choose Options from the bottom of the list.
On the General tab, clear the option to "Auto Reload Documents".

This is great! Thanks so much, I'd been wondering about this, too. It drives me crazy how each individual topic that opens grabs focus.

Me too!.
Thank you.
It is so annoying that the focus is constantly grabbed, so if you attempt to type in any other app. window on your machine while Flare launches, any characters typed are inserted in random topic headers, as they whizz past.
I will disable this option immediately! :)
