Slideshow arrows displaying Next and Prev text

Somehow I have managed to get the slideshow arrows to also include the text Next and Prev text over the top of them. If I switch the arrows off the text also disappears so I would assume it is something I have changed within the stylesheet but am unable to locate anything within the Madcap|Slideshow styles. Unfortunately I rely on the slideshows a lot within my project so any pointers would be gratefully received.
