Bullets

Post by LouisWilkinson1980 »

Hi All,

I'm trying to change the size of numbered bullets within my project and wondered if anyone knows how or even if I can do this?

I am using drop down hotspots for each of my operational processes and I'm using numbered bullets for each step. I would like my numbered bullets to be larger as I have thumbnail images within the lists which are throwing formatting out and it is difficult to see where the next step begins.

I have been looking in the CSS for a value to change but I suspect I am barking up the wrong tree so to speak...

Anyone know if what I want to do is possible or alternatively any other suggestions on how I can achieve this style within madcap?

Thanks

You can use CSS to adjust the type of bullet:

ol
{
list-style-type: decimal;
margin-left: -10.666px;
}

By numbered bullets, do you mean numbered lists, called ordered lists in CSS? (Not actually the circle for bullets.)

You can also adjust bullets on the Home Ribbon or Alt + H + U + F (for Custom Format).

As for the formatting, I would recommend making sure each of your list items contains separate paragraphs, which would then allow you to format the thumbnail images separately. (You can also play with how the thumbnails are showing up in the XML editor: http://webhelp.madcapsoftware.com/flare ... diting.htm)
To make each list item into a paragraph, type Ctrl + ; or right click on the li node on the left and click "Make paragraph item(s)." Your nodes should then be ul / li / p.

Hope that helps,
