Apologies if this is a PEBKAC issue, but I can't figure this out.
I have a relationship table with two columns (concept and screen). "concept" has a CSS heading of "Related Tasks" (I was too lazy to change the column name) and "screen" has a CSS heading of "Related screens". Both columns in the table are set to be Family / Source Only. Each cell in the table generally has at least five topics in it.
I thought that with Family, it would display both the topics in its own cell, and the topics in the cell next door--that seems to be what all the help files say. But when I publish, the topics only ever display "Related Tasks" (the first column). The second column is never generated in the source: not the header, nor the topic links. Anyone know why this might be?

Re: Relationship proxy only displaying one column
Having all of your columns as Source Only is what is causing this problem. With this setup I would expect topics to only show those they share a cell with (because of the family relationship). If you open a topic that is in the "Related Screens" column, it should display only the "Related Screens" heading.
I'm curious about what your end goal is with this. What are you trying to accomplish? I have spent considerable time using relationship tables, so I might be able to help you think through this.

I see - thanks for your reply. I think I've finally gotten the Collection / Linking aspects! Flare's explanations and interface for this feature never really clicked in my head before.
All I wanted was two separate lists of related topics on each topic; one for related tasks and the other for related screens, without a giant list of topics from back-references, but I see how I've misunderstood the Source Only element there, now. Cheers.
